We arrive this morning and were at our hotel by 11:00am. Unfortunately, the hotel is about 20 minutes outside the city center. But luckily for us the bus driver offered to drop us off and then pick us up again!!
Only a few of us had a room ready... Lucky for Amy, Jenn and I our room was ready so we were able to change our clothes before heading out for the rest of the day. It was very interesting as we were driving in to the city how there would be many buildings... Then farm land.
We arrived in the city and first had to find a place to eat. We ate a really fun placed called the Hoffbraus... I got a dish that was similar to macaroni and cheese. It was really yummy!! (I ate almost the whole thing, too!). After eating we wandered around Munich. It was very busy because it is a Saturday. It's amazing to think that almost the entire city was leveled during WWII and is only about 60 years old!
We headed back to the hotel at 6:00 and went to a local grocery store to get water and bread. (Yes... I brought peanut butter!! Sandwiches in case we aren't able to get lunch tomorrow.). We then relaxed on a rooftop deck where we could see the Alps. It was so pretty!!
Tomorrow we have a wake up call at 7:30 am and are leaving for Dachau at 9:00. (Remember... Dachau is the place Daniel's uncle Peter was sent.).

The first is downtown Munich, then me trying to figure out where we are with the map, me in front of a government building (completely rebuilt) and then the view from the rooftop deck... See the alps!!
Now for the last picture... From this spot is where the order for Kristalknacht- the knight of the broken glass- was made. Remember this from Daniel's Story. You can see in last paragraph of the German... Is there a word you can kind of figure out??
That's it for tonight- I AM EXHAUSTED!!!
